This Polish Pottery container fermentation crock is made by Zaklady of Boleslawiec Poland. This container is a fermenting crock or a counter canister. As a canister great for flour, sugar and dog biscuits. To use as a fermenting crock, fill the pot with your favorite recipe such as sauerkraut, sourdough bread, kimchi, miso, sour cream. Then remove the lid and fill the open moat where the lid sat with water and put lid back on. The water with the lid keeps outside air from entering the crock and carbon dioxide gases created during fermentation can easily bubble out. This container has a beautiful attractive shape that shows off the Polish Pottery pattern and will look beautiful on your counter top. The canister holds 5 quarts and measures 10″ x 9″ by 10.25″.
